A Buddhist worshiper spins prayer wheels at the Gandam Monastery temple complex in Ulaan Baatar.

The hollow prayer wheels contain Buddhist sutras: spinning a wheel tumbles the sutras, which is said to be equivalent to reading the sutras aloud. This is said to generate blessings. Apparently, it works even if you spin the wheels while talking on a cellphone.
