Smart Bottle |
Final Bottle:Here you see the final Smart Bottle. The user grasps the smaller end of the bottle from the side like a mug. The squat, teardrop shape of the Smart Bottle makes it easy to fill at low-flow water fountains and in tight sink basins, something the Nalgene bottle can't do. The lockable carabiner protrudes slightly out from the sides of the bottomplate, and is connected with a flexible rubber hinge. In this way, the user simply slides their hand down the narrow section of the bottle, hitting the biner and flipping it out and away from the bottomplate. Strong, small, rare earth magnets in the carabiner and bottom plate allow the biner to snap into its nested recess when not in use. The bottle holds just over one liter of fluid. It is constructed completely out of FDA-approved, food-safe plastics and adhesives. The lid features a green reflector that, when pushed, activates a small, red, blinking light housed inside the reflector. |
