Water holes in the Gobi are few and far between. Our bus stops near a small town at a place where water is pumped from a well to the surface. There is a steady traffic of people coming on horses or motorbikes from the town and surrounding countryside to get water for their homes. After a dusty day in the desert, we avail ourselves of the opportunity to dunk our heads under the water.
